It has been another great year for us here at Foresight, continuing to distinguish ourselves as leaders within family, immigration and criminal law. As ‘Experts with Insight’, we bring the UK’s most comprehensive panel of expert witnesses to our customers through our expertise, knowledge and intricate understanding of their needs.

Having been acquired by handl Group late in 2018, we started the year off adjusting to our new partnership, whilst continuing as an autonomous business. Now the year is drawing to a close, we take a look at some key events from 2019.

New year, new us!

In conjunction with joining the handl Group portfolio, we took this time of change and opportunity to really understand our customers’ unique requirements, discovering what truly great service means to them and enabling us to meet and exceed their expectations. The result was a vibrant rebrand, bringing a distinctive brand aesthetic, refined core values and an engaging new website.
Our completely redesigned website incorporates the look and feel of our new branding, showcasing a bold and modern aesthetic. The website also offers a more user-friendly interface, enhancing ease of use for clients, and making it completely accessible and fully responsive on all devices.

Though we may have changed our brand and website, bringing experienced, qualified and reliable expert witnesses to legal professionals across the UK is what we’re renowned for and remains at our core.

We sponsored The Solicitors Group Law 2019 Conference in May, hosting a stand and a gin hamper competition at the Roadshow in Manchester. The event enabled us to meet with solicitors and introduce them to our developing brand, and it was fantastic to crown Catherine Burns from Walker & Co Solicitors, the winner of our much sought-after gin hamper.

What a fantastic night we had at the Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year Awards on 10th July in London! We were proud to sponsor and be part of this opportunity to recognise and celebrate the outstanding, life-changing work of legal aid lawyers and those managing organisations that carry out legal aid work.

Yorkshire Legal Awards

As 2019 sponsors, we were honoured to present the award for ‘Criminal Law Firm of the Year’ at this year’s Yorkshire Legal Awards, held at the New Dock Hall in Leeds on 10th October. The event has been a major event in the sector's calendar for 20 years, and provided the opportunity for Yorkshire's legal sectors best and brightest a ceremony to celebrate, network and reflect on the year's achievements.

New Business Development Manager

Mark Speight joined Foresight late this year as a Business Development Manager. He heads up our New Business team, identifying and building long-standing relationships whilst raising the profile of Foresight, and ultimately helping our clients save time and money when sourcing an expert witness. Going forward into 2020, Mark’s vision is for Foresight to continue providing their renowned excellent client care and to become the “go-to experts” for many more valued clients.

With our renowned status in the legal field, and following several successful events this year, Foresight is pleased to announce that we are entertainment sponsors at the upcoming Modern Law Awards in February, to be held at Manchester Deansgate - it promises to be a spectacular affair!

It’s been a great year, from being acquired by handl Group and our strong presence at key legal events, to our exciting company rebrand. We’re proud to say the brand refresh and new website fully represents the evolution of Foresight and reflects Foresight as it is today – a leading, nationwide provider of highly qualified and experienced expert witnesses for family, criminal and immigration law.
